• The Long Beach Writers Meetup Group - I run this group. Whether you are published or simply enjoy writing, come join other local writers in a relaxed atmosphere where we can share our writing, offer critique and industry tips, and have fun honoring our creativity with the written word (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, screenplays etc. - all genres welcome!).
• Southern California Writers Association - A nonprofit organization of diverse writers, our members are involved in a wide variety of areas including articles, essays, web content, children's writing, short stories, novels of all genres, plays, screenwriting, and poetry.
• SF Novelist - This is a online writing group dedicated to novelists who write 'hard science' SF, where the science is believable or at least does not violate currently known science, with a wink toward FTL (faster than light travel).
• Greater Los Angeles Writers Society - The Greater Los Angeles Writers Society is a non-profit association that provides a forum for writers of all disciplines to meet and improve their craft and knowledge of the business of writing. GLAWS accomplishes this through monthly meetings, discussion forums, genre-specific critique groups, Special Speaker Events, workshops, conferences, and other events conducted for the purpose of educating and mentoring writers of all levels of expertise.
• SoCal Screenwriters Workshop - If you are a screenwriter looking for some peer review, this group is for you! We will be meeting twice a month to pitch ideas, workshop pages and offer support. Once you join, make sure to check out the polls section of the page to offer your input on meeting locations, days and times, so I can better plan our meetups.
